We've listed the currently announced B.S.R.A. National Scooter Rally dates for 2027 below.

Please note: Rally dates, venues and arrangements can change. Always check the official B.S.R.A. information and the individual rally organiser before travelling.

March 2027 – Scarborough National Scooter Rally

26–28 March 2027

The first B.S.R.A. National Scooter Rally of 2027 is scheduled for Scarborough, taking place over the Easter weekend.

Scarborough has long been a popular destination for scooterists, combining the traditional seaside setting with a full weekend of scooter-related activities.

The 2027 rally is listed for Scarborough Spa, South Bay, Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

For riders heading to the first national rally of the year, it is also a good opportunity to give your scooter a thorough check before setting off on what could be its first major trip of the season.

A few minutes spent checking the scooter before a long-distance ride can save a lot of hassle later.

April / May 2027 – Weston-super-Mare National Scooter Rally

30 April – 2 May 2027

The second B.S.R.A. National Scooter Rally of 2027 heads to Weston-super-Mare in Somerset.

The published event information lists camping at Weston-super-Mare RFC, with entertainment at The Grand Pier.

For anyone travelling from the South West, this is particularly convenient and makes Weston-super-Mare an excellent rally destination for local scooter clubs and riders.

If you're riding a classic Vespa or Lambretta to Weston, remember that a rally weekend can involve considerably more mileage than your normal local riding.

It's worth checking your scooter before leaving home and carrying a few basic spares.

May 2027 – Kelso National Scooter Rally

28–30 May 2027

The B.S.R.A. national rally calendar then heads north to Kelso in the Scottish Borders.

Kelso provides a very different setting from the coastal rallies, and for many riders the journey itself becomes an important part of the weekend.

Long-distance scooter riding is one of the great attractions of the rally scene, particularly when you're travelling with friends or a scooter club.

Before undertaking a longer journey, pay particular attention to:

  • Tyre condition
  • Brake shoes and cables
  • Clutch and gear cables
  • Fuel lines
  • Spark plug
  • Drive chain
  • Engine oil
  • Gearbox oil
  • Electrical connections

It's also worth carrying basic tools and a few model-specific spares.

June 2027 – Big 7 National Scooter Rally

25–27 June 2027

The Big 7 National Scooter Rally takes place from 25–27 June 2027 at the South of England Showground, Ardingly, West Sussex.

The Big 7 has become an established event on the UK scooter calendar and is another opportunity for scooterists from across the country to meet up.

For anyone attending on a classic Lambretta or Vespa, it's worth remembering that the scooter itself is often just as much a part of the weekend as the rally venue.

Take the time to prepare the scooter properly before travelling, particularly if it has recently been restored or rebuilt.

July / August 2027 – Builth Wells National Scooter Rally

30 July – 1 August 2027

The national rally calendar heads into Wales for the Builth Wells National Scooter Rally, scheduled for 30 July–1 August 2027.

Builth Wells is ideally placed for riders who enjoy combining a scooter rally with some longer-distance riding through the Welsh countryside.

If you're riding a classic scooter through Wales, preparation is particularly important. A well-maintained scooter should be perfectly capable of covering significant distances, but older machines benefit from regular checks before setting off.

August 2027 – Isle of Wight National Scooter Rally

26–29 August 2027

The August bank holiday weekend sees the B.S.R.A. national rally move to the Isle of Wight.

The current 2027 calendar lists the Isle of Wight National Scooter Rally for 26–29 August 2027.

For mainland riders, travelling to an Isle of Wight rally adds another element to the journey, with ferry arrangements forming an important part of the trip.

If you're taking your scooter across to the island, make sure you've considered your ferry times, fuel stops, breakdown cover and what spares you're likely to need.

September 2027 – Woolacombe National Scooter Rally

24–26 September 2027

The B.S.R.A. national rally season continues into September with the Woolacombe National Scooter Rally in Devon.

The event is currently listed for 24–26 September 2027.

Woolacombe is another particularly popular destination for scooterists in the South West, and its coastal location makes it a great destination for a scooter weekend.

For riders in the South West, it is also one of the more accessible national rallies of the year.

October 2027 – Llandudno National Scooter Rally

22–24 October 2027

The final currently listed B.S.R.A. National Scooter Rally of 2027 takes place in Llandudno, North Wales, from 22–24 October.

Llandudno provides a fitting end to the national rally season, with the North Wales coast providing a great backdrop for the final major B.S.R.A. event of the year.

By October, weather conditions can be considerably less predictable, so anyone riding to the rally should prepare accordingly.

Check your lighting, tyres, brakes and electrical system and make sure you have suitable clothing and waterproofs for the journey.

Getting Your Vespa or Lambretta Ready for a 2027 Rally

A classic scooter doesn't need to be perfect to go touring, but it does need to be properly maintained.

Before heading off to a B.S.R.A. national rally, give your scooter a basic inspection.

Check the tyres

Inspect both tyres for cracks, damage and excessive wear. Check the pressures and don't forget to inspect the spare wheel on scooters that carry one.

If your scooter uses split rims, make sure the wheel nuts and rim components are correctly fitted.

Check the brakes

Make sure the brakes operate correctly and that the cables are in good condition.

If your brake shoes are worn or contaminated, replace them before a long trip rather than waiting for a problem to develop.

Check the cables

Classic Vespa and Lambretta scooters rely on several cables for their controls.

Check the:

Make sure they move freely and aren't frayed or damaged.

Check the fuel system

Inspect the fuel pipe, fuel tap and carburettor for leaks.

If your scooter has been standing for some time, it's particularly important to make sure the fuel system is clean and working correctly before setting off.

Check your electrical system

Make sure your headlight, rear light, brake light and indicators — where fitted — are working correctly.

Carry spare bulbs and fuses where appropriate.

Carry some basic spares

You don't need to take an entire workshop with you, but a few sensible spares can be extremely useful.

Depending on your scooter, consider carrying:

  • Spark plug
  • Spare inner tube
  • Spare bulbs
  • Fuses
  • Fuel pipe
  • Cable repair kit
  • Basic nuts and bolts
  • Electrical connectors
  • Insulating tape
  • Basic tools

And don't forget the most important spare of all — a way of getting the scooter home if something goes wrong!
