Jockeys Boxenstop Anti Dive Lambretta Disc Brake. This Disc Brake has to be up there as one of the best on the market. Using parts such as the Caliper, Disc, Bearings and other parts are sourced directly from Piaggio. Other parts are produced in Bavaria such as the machining etc.
The Brake comes assembled however there are a number of things you will need to do before fitment.
The antidive arm needs to be at 90 degs to the fork leg when you fit.
If you using tubeless rims you need to change to longer studs that have countersunk heads.
You need to remove the located pin on your links for anti dive.
If you use master and lever from the SPAQ kits it doesn't work well enough, avoid that combo.
Indian Speedo Drive Worm needs to be used.
When painted be sure to mask all important surfaces, too much paint can affect Spacers, Shims, Nuts etc and may cause wobble once assembled.
These Disc Brakes were successfully used in the first Scootopia Race Team season, used and abused in Race and Endurance tests. Andy the Scootopia Race Team Manger also suggests "The caliper is from a Vespa PX, Malossi do a harder compound pad for it, it’s red or EBC do a sintered pad" Some slight fettling will be needed if using the suggested Pads.
