Manufactured by Scootopia to high-quality standards, this clutch tab washer is designed to lock the clutch centre nut securely in position. Once installed and folded into place, the washer helps prevent the clutch nut from loosening due to engine vibration and transmission loads.

A small but essential component, the clutch tab washer is recommended for replacement whenever the clutch is dismantled, making it ideal for engine rebuilds, clutch servicing, restorations, and performance engine builds.

⚙️ What Does a Clutch Tab Washer Do?

The clutch tab washer is fitted beneath the clutch centre nut and acts as a mechanical locking device.

After the clutch nut is tightened to the correct torque, one of the washer tabs is bent against the flat of the nut to prevent it from rotating.

Its functions include:

  • Locking the clutch centre nut in position
  • Preventing loosening caused by vibration
  • Improving clutch assembly security
  • Helping protect internal transmission components
  • Providing an additional level of safety within the clutch system

Without a correctly installed tab washer, the clutch nut may loosen over time, potentially causing serious engine damage.

Exhaust is scratched with no new protective layer especially on stainless steel can. Asked for a refund, swap or partial refund of some money back. Not heard nothing. Want to just fit my new exhaust and be happy with my product. Exhaust still sat in broken box on the side. Banking on a response to solve the problem. Looking unlikely and may have to start seeking help for citizens advice. Not impressed and won’t be recommending or using again with the scooter scene down South

Contacted and still no reply. Quick response when purchasing but ever since I’ve had an issue, nothing. £307 exhaust with paid delivery. Received as shown. Exhaust is scratched with no new protective layer especially on stainless steel can. Asked for a refund, swap or partial refund of some money back. Not heard nothing. Want to just fit my new exhaust and be happy with my product. Exhaust still sat in broken box on the side. Banking on a response to solve the problem. Looking unlikely and may have to start seeking help for citizens advice. Not impressed and won’t be recommending or using again with the scooter scene down South
