Scootopia 27x47x6mm rear hub oil seal for Vespa Sprint, Rally, Super, PX and PE models. A quality replacement oil seal for the rear hub, helping prevent gearbox oil from escaping into the rear brake and keeping the hub assembly properly sealed.

When servicing or rebuilding a Vespa rear hub, replacing the oil seal is good practice, particularly if the existing seal is old, hard, damaged or showing signs of leakage. A leaking rear hub oil seal can allow gear oil to contaminate the brake area, potentially affecting braking performance.

This Scootopia replacement is supplied in the 27x47x6mm size and is suitable for a range of classic Vespa large-frame models.

🛠️ Why Replace the Rear Hub Oil Seal?

The rear hub oil seal plays an important role in keeping gearbox oil inside the engine and hub assembly. Over time, an original or old replacement seal can become hard, worn or damaged, allowing oil to pass the sealing lip.

If you find oil around the rear brake area or notice gearbox oil leaking from the rear hub, the oil seal should be checked as part of the repair.

Replacing the seal during an engine or rear hub rebuild is also sensible preventative maintenance, especially when the existing seal has been in service for many years.

Exhaust is scratched with no new protective layer especially on stainless steel can. Asked for a refund, swap or partial refund of some money back. Not heard nothing. Want to just fit my new exhaust and be happy with my product. Exhaust still sat in broken box on the side. Banking on a response to solve the problem. Looking unlikely and may have to start seeking help for citizens advice. Not impressed and won’t be recommending or using again with the scooter scene down South

Contacted and still no reply. Quick response when purchasing but ever since I’ve had an issue, nothing. £307 exhaust with paid delivery. Received as shown. Exhaust is scratched with no new protective layer especially on stainless steel can. Asked for a refund, swap or partial refund of some money back. Not heard nothing. Want to just fit my new exhaust and be happy with my product. Exhaust still sat in broken box on the side. Banking on a response to solve the problem. Looking unlikely and may have to start seeking help for citizens advice. Not impressed and won’t be recommending or using again with the scooter scene down South
